These are the only aftermarket clip-ons actually engineered specifically for the Ninja 400 and Yamaha R3, and have been tested extensively via the MotoAmerica Junior Cup, with numerous and ongoing podiums from the 2017 season onward, including the 2020 MotoAmerica Junior Cup Championship via Rocco Landers!
Our Pro-Loc clip-ons are more expensive than our others because they are very different in the way they attach to the fork. The issue with these bikes is that the proper handlebar height is right in-line with the height of the top triple. So, all other manufacturers make clip-ons with very tall risers, which frankly have no business being on a race bike – they’re heavy and/or weak, and definitely ugly! Our clip-ons fix the ergonomic issue while providing a strong and efficient fork clamp that locks into the OE triple clamp and is removable for crash repair without removing the top triple.

The Evol Technology Pro-Lock clip-on handlebar kit for the Ninja 400 (all years) and Yamaha R3 (through the 2018 model year) stand apart from all others in their bulletproof clamp design and race-bred ergonomics. They come pre-assembled with bars, our unique Pro-Loc fork tube clamp and collar assemblies, handlebar end-plugs, all mounting hardware, and installation instructions. They were developed in-house, hand-in-hand with professional road racer and coach Tyler O’Hara and can be found on the MotoAmerica Junior Cup Championship winning bike of Rocco Landers. Note, depending on the bodywork being run, the customer may need to modify it slightly for clearance. This is due to the fact that the OE bars are too high for serious racing use. Once the bars are relocated properly, depending on their orientation and the other controls, there may be interference with the bodywork. Also note, for the 2018 and newer Yamaha R3, select our Tangent Tube clip-ons in 47mm diameter.
